Root Canal in Folsom, CA
Now at Esthetic Reflections in Dentistry
No one wants to hear that they need a root canal. But it happens to the best of us. Even dentists need root canals once in a while when a cavity was accidentally left untreated for too long.
For many, the words “root canal” cause fear. Yet it doesn’t have to be this way. At Esthetic Reflections in Dentistry, we make sure to create an environment where your root canal therapy can be completed comfortably, and provide you with the support you need to feel confident in the outcome.
Our Root Canal Therapy in the Folsom, El Dorado Hills, and Orangevale Area
Based in Folsom, Esthetic Reflections in Dentistry has provided areas like El Dorado Hills, Granite Bay, Orangevale, Rancho Cordova, and other surrounding areas with both general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry for years.
Our focus has always been a combination of expert care with patient comfort, because the only way to treat your teeth is if you are happy to come in and receive the treatment. We believe that an important part of dental care is creating an environment that makes you want to come see the dentist.
Which is why we are pleased to be able to add root canal treatments to our list of services, by partnering with a highly talented endodontist that trained under the person that literally created the most successful root canal therapy in use today. Dr. Bernadett joins Dr. Chen, Dr. Skelton, and Dr. Torabian, providing her endodontic services to our patients.
Dr. Bernadett studied under Dr. Herbert Schilder at Boston University, who is responsible for creating the technique that endodontists around the world use to fill root canals successfully. This makes Dr. Bernadett one of the foremost experts in root canals in California.
Yet Dr. Bernadett joins us not only as a skilled dental expert, but also as someone that is just as committed to patient satisfaction and comfort. She, along with the rest of Esthetic Reflections, goes out of her way to make sure that you walk away from the chair feeling confident about your experience and ready to come back if you ever need help.
What is a Root Canal?
When a dental cavity is left untreated, it can reach the nerve of the tooth. Once it has reached the nerve, it is at risk for infection and disease, which can lead to severe nerve pain and toothache, along with potential damage to the teeth and gum over time.
Patients that have these large cavities are in need of endodontic care, also known as a root canal. During a root canal, Dr. Bernadett removes all of the diseased nerves from the tooth. They then fill the tooth canal with a polymer that prevents any further infection of the tooth, and then re-seals the tooth so that it continues to act like a normal, healthy tooth.
